Pre cast walls have been around for more than 50 years and will undoubtedly continue to be erected for many years to come. The main reasons are low manufacturing costs together with the speed in which these walls can be erected. A proper erected pre-cast wall seems to stand the test of time. However, thorough market research done almost ten years ago, showed a huge demand for the upgrading or transforming of these walls. It became clear that pre-cast walls do not compliment modern homes anymore.

Pre-cast walls cannot be plastered with ordinary sand and cement mixtures. Many attempts have been made over the years by builders to plaster these walls without success. The density of pre-cast products is much higher than those of other materials like mortar. The result is that after a short period of time cracks will appear and the plaster will start falling off.
